The Sparkles of Eiffel Tower

These photos were taken in May when hubby and I went to Paris. They were in my handphone all these months...the battery on our digital camera went flat the moment Eiffel Tower lighted up. The sparkles were really captivating...like diamonds and it was really a very beautiful sight. So glad that I still had my phone camera to help me capture the moment. :0)

We were on the way up to the Tower when the lights came on. Believe it or not, it was somewhat terrifying.

In fact, it's always better to view the Tower from a distance when it's lighted up (with the sparkles). If you're up there, during that 10min (every hour), it can be rather unnerving.

Oh really? Why was it terrifying?

@waitingkitty,
Imagine being trapped in a small lift with half a dozen others and halfway up there, the entire superstructure's strobe lights are turned on, flickering at a high frequency... not for the fainthearted really. They should have those warning for people prone to fits.
