Family Time Happy Time

Time really files when you are having a good time...June had flew passed and so did half of July. Since completing my final exams for Finance 3rd week of June, I had tried to spend more time with D when he was here in Hong Kong. We played games with him and watched late night movies with him on NowTV. He had commented that he liked spending time like this with us and we were only too happy to oblige. I guess it's because we don't get to spend a lot of time with him most of the year and whenever he is with us, he's on school holiday, so we are all indulging ourselves.

Early July we went back to Singapore intending to attend N's musical performance to be held at the Jubilee Hall, Raffles Hotel. However, the concert was cancelled last minute due to a confirmed case of H1N1 in N's school. Poor N, totally upset and cried like a baby. Her principal gave all the performers a day off and we decided to go Sentosa for a night. Activities at Sentosa included going on the Segway Tour which was really fun, watched the musical fountain, night swim at the beach and another 2-hour long morning swim at the hotel's beautiful pool.

Then on the last day of our trip, we bought another apartment at our new place! No, not the one right next door that we had hoped to buy but another unit 2 floors up and it's a 2-bedroom unit which is bigger and better. Hubby and I are really happy about it because we will then be able to move everybody into the same apartment block. And when we go back next time, we will not have to travel 3 corners of the island to meet all our family members. Mum and the kids are also excited about it. N was already drawing out the design to her room... :)

Ah, nothing like moving together under one roof, well sort of. Some say that tension increases as distance grows smaller but then again, help is near as well. :)

@ECL,
There are some S'poreans in London who will be moving back to Singapore as well. Looks like the small party we have over here become smaller still.
