Although 2008 has ended, the streak of the bad health for me this year has not seem to be over...I am down with a really bad cold and my sinus problem is acting up again. Well, I guess it's not 2008 but the year of the Rat that isn't good for me but it will be over in less than 3 weeks now and I really can't wait for it to be over. Looking back, I must say this year has really been quite happening for me.
I met up with the President and CEO of my company finally in April and had a really good time talking to him over dinner and drinks. He allowed me to take photos with him too and that was really precious as he doesn't take photos much.
In May, hubby and I went to Europe and that was wonderful. 10 days away from it all, we went to all the "must see" sights and we both met one of our long lost friend each whom we found through Facebook.
In June, I went on a tour to Kyuushuu, Japan with mum. It has been a long time since I last went on a tour alone with my mum and I am glad that we did it. That's when I realise that my mum is really getting old but I am grateful to God that she is still very much healthy.
In July, I enrolled into U21Global to do my MBA which was a dream I had since 15 years ago. Thanks to hubby who found the institution and encouraged me to take it, I even got a scholarship for it which pays 50% of my tuition fees. And because of this, my days turned from being boring to being busy and fulfilling.
The second half of the year wasn't so good for me though...I got myself some funny rash all over my body in Septemeber which lasted for about 4 weeks...
In October, I went on a business trip to Tianjin and Beijing and got a sick stomach over some sashimi. It was really bad...I never had upset stomach like that!
In November, I was admitted to hospital for some serious viral infections which caused me to have such terrible headaches and vomitting that I had to be transported to the hospital in an ambulance. It was my first time on an ambulance and I thought I was going to die! 2 days on the drip in the hospital, did all the checks that I needed to do to find out more but luckily, couldn't find anything serious except that I have some sinus problems and the pain all over my body must be caused by some virus. The pain all over my body was annoying and lasted about 10 days. The worst was the pain in my butt, I couldn't sit properly!
In December, the family came over and we had a wonderful, funfilled holiday trip to Korea. It was the family's first try at skiing and except for some "blue-blacks" in my legs, I got away fine. The best thing was, the whole family enjoyed themselves and they also got to see falling snow for the first time. It was wonderful.
